Terms & Conditions
1. Definitions
-
“Client” – the person or organisation booking the training.
-
“Delegate” – an individual attending the training course.
-
“Course” – any first aid training service provided by JWAA Training Ltd.
-
“Fee” – the amount payable for the training service.
2. Bookings & Confirmation
-
Bookings can be made via our website, phone, or email.
-
For single courses, invoicing will take place after course completion.
-
For multiple course bookings, a 25% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure the courses, with the remaining balance invoiced following course completion.
-
Certificates will only be issued once full payment has been received.
-
By confirming a booking, the Client agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
3. Payment Terms
-
Invoices are due for payment upon receipt and must be paid in full before certificates can be released.
-
Late payments may result in a delay in issuing certification.
-
JWAA Training Ltd reserves the right to charge interest or administrative fees on overdue payments where applicable.
4. Cancellations & Transfers (Client-Initiated)
-
Cancellations must be made at least 6 weeks (42 days) before the course start date to receive a full refund.
-
Cancellations made less than 6 weeks before the course will not be eligible for a refund.
-
Substitutions of delegates may be accepted, subject to the conditions below for blended courses.
Blended Courses (Online + In-Person)
-
Once a learner is registered on a blended course, any amendments (including removal or replacement of a learner) will incur a £40 administration fee per learner.
-
Learners must complete the online learning element in full before attending the in-person session.

Failure to complete the online portion will result in the learner being removed from the in-person training without refund.

Exceptional circumstances may be considered at the discretion of JWAA Training Ltd, but there is no guarantee of a replacement course.
-
In some cases, a learner may be deferred to a future course, if one is scheduled and paid for by the original booking party.
-
JWAA Training Ltd will always work with the Client to rearrange a suitable alternative date.
5. Cancellations (By JWAA Training Ltd)
-
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule courses due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., trainer illness, venue issues).
-
In such cases, Clients will be offered an alternative date or full refund.
-
JWAA Training Ltd is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses resulting from cancellation.
6. Delegate Requirements & Course Assessment
-
Delegates must attend all course sessions and participate fully.
-
As per Qualsafe Awards accreditation standards, certain practical skills (e.g., CPR and recovery position) must be demonstrated on the floor.
-
Demonstration on a table or from a seated position is not an acceptable alternative unless pre-approved reasonable adjustments apply.
-
Delegates unable to complete mandatory assessments will receive a Certificate of Attendance rather than a Qualsafe-accredited qualification.

Delegates must inform us in advance of any medical or learning needs requiring adjustments.
7. Certification

On successful completion of the course and assessments, delegates will be awarded a certificate accredited by Qualsafe Awards, valid for the stated period (usually 3 years).

Certificates will only be issued once full payment has been received.
-
Certificates are typically issued within 14 days of course completion.
-
Replacement certificates may incur an administrative fee.
8. Liability & Health and Safety

JWAA Training Ltd is not liable for any injury or loss suffered during the course unless due to our negligence.

Delegates must follow all safety instructions and notify trainers of any health issues.
-
We reserve the right to remove delegates whose behaviour compromises safety or the learning environment.
9. Intellectual Property
-
All training materials are the intellectual property of JWAA Training Ltd or its licensors.
-
Course content may not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without written permission.
-
Materials provided are for personal or internal organisational use only.
10. Data Protection
-
JWAA Training Ltd complies with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
-
Personal data is collected and processed for the purposes of course administration, certification, and reporting to Qualsafe Awards.

11. Complaints
-
Any complaints should be submitted in writing within 14 days of the course end date.
-
We aim to respond to all complaints within 10 working days and will follow our internal complaints procedure.

If the issue cannot be resolved internally, it may be escalated to Qualsafe Awards, our accrediting body.
12. Governing Law
-
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
-
Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
13. Courses Held at Client Premises
-
By booking a course at the Client’s premises, the Client agrees to provide a suitable training area that is warm, dry, and well-lit, with sufficient tables and chairs for all delegates. Access to toilet facilities and tea/coffee amenitiesmust also be provided.

The Client is responsible for ensuring the training environment is safe and free from hazards. Any issues affecting venue suitability that may impact training delivery should be communicated to JWAA Training Ltd in advance.

Upon arrival, if our trainer deems the training area unsafe or unsuitable and an alternative venue is not available or equally unsuitable, JWAA Training Ltd reserves the right to cancel the course without refund.
14. Force Majeure
JWAA Training Ltd shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of its obligations under these Terms & Conditions if such failure or delay is caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemics, government restrictions, strikes, or natural disasters. In such circumstances, JWAA Training Ltd will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the course or refund fees if rescheduling is not possible.
15. Photography and Video
By attending the course, delegates consent to JWAA Training Ltd taking photographs and/or video recordings during training sessions for promotional, marketing, or educational purposes. If a delegate does not wish to be included in any such recordings, they must notify JWAA Training Ltd in writing prior to the course start date.
16. Online Conduct (Blended and Online Courses)
Delegates attending online or blended courses agree to participate respectfully and professionally. Recording of live online sessions by delegates is prohibited without prior written consent from JWAA Training Ltd. JWAA Training Ltd reserves the right to remove any participant from the online session whose behaviour disrupts the learning environment.
17. Accessibility & Special Requirements
JWAA Training Ltd is committed to providing equal access to training for all delegates. Clients and delegates must inform JWAA Training Ltd of any medical conditions, disabilities, or special requirements at the time of booking or at least 14 days before the course date. Reasonable adjustments will be made where possible to accommodate these needs. Failure to disclose relevant information in a timely manner may impact the delegate’s ability to complete the course.
18. Health & Safety / Infectious Diseases Policy

Clients and delegates must adhere to any current government or public health guidelines related to infectious diseases (e.g., COVID-19).

Delegates who exhibit symptoms of contagious illnesses or have tested positive must not attend the course.
-
JWAA Training Ltd reserves the right to refuse entry or cancel courses without refund if health and safety concerns arise.
-
All delegates must comply with any additional health and safety protocols communicated prior to or during the course.
19. Client Responsibilities
-
The Client is responsible for providing accurate delegate information required for course registration and certification.
-
The Client must ensure that delegates meet any prerequisite knowledge or skills necessary for the course, if applicable.
-
The Client should ensure delegates arrive on time and comply with all course rules and instructions.
-
The Client must inform JWAA Training Ltd in advance of any special requirements, medical conditions, or accessibility needs of delegates.
20. Feedback & Quality Assurance

JWAA Training Ltd welcomes and encourages feedback from delegates to continuously improve our courses and services.
-
Delegates may be asked to complete feedback forms or surveys either during or after the course.
-
JWAA Training Ltd reserves the right to use anonymised feedback and testimonials for marketing and quality assurance purposes.
-
Any personal information collected through feedback will be handled in accordance with our Data Protection Policy.
21. Trainers
-
All trainers delivering courses are directly accredited and employed or contracted by JWAA Training Ltd.
-
JWAA Training Ltd does not subcontract training delivery to third parties or independent subcontractors.
22. Online Course Access and Expiry
-
For blended or online-only courses, learners will be granted access to online materials for a specified period (e.g., 3 months).
-
It is the learner’s responsibility to complete online modules within this timeframe.
-
Extensions may be granted at the discretion of JWAA Training Ltd and may incur an additional fee.
23. Refunds
-
Refunds will only be made in accordance with the cancellation policy.
-
No refunds will be provided for non-attendance or partial attendance of courses unless exceptional circumstances apply and are approved by JWAA Training Ltd.
24. Code of Conduct
-
Delegates and clients are expected to behave respectfully and professionally at all times during training.
-
JWAA Training Ltd reserves the right to terminate training for any delegate or group whose behaviour disrupts the course or compromises safety, without refund.
25. Insurance
JWAA Training Ltd confirms it holds appropriate and current public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance to cover the delivery of its training services.
26. Confidentiality
Both JWAA Training Ltd and the Client agree to keep any confidential information disclosed during the course or related communications strictly confidential and not to disclose such information to any third party without prior written consent, except where required by law.
27. Variation of Terms
JWAA Training Ltd reserves the right to amend or update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any material changes in writing or via email. Continued use of our services after such notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms & Conditions.
